In what was a return to the top ten, Franco Morbidelli finished the Malaysian MotoGP Grand Prix in seventh place. It is a result that leaves him encouraged for next weekend’s Qatar GP.
The Monster Energy Yamaha rider believes he could have done even better if he had qualified higher, and is confident for Losail considering it has some similarities to Sepang:
– The race in the Malaysian GP was good because I was able to fight with many riders. The performance of our bike was very good, so if we were a little further up the grid who knows what we could have done? I hope to find out this weekend. Qatar, like Sepang, has long straights, and in Malaysia we had good speed, so I am curious to see what we can do this weekend.
