CFMOTO debuts in Europe its 450cc CL-C cruiser. It is a motorcycle built around ergonomics, designed to combine a very low seat height of 690 mm with proper vehicle control. With an appealing design and a British touch, the 450CL-C attracted many fans at EICMA.
Design and style are two key points in cruiser motorcycles. The new 450CL-C has a well-crafted overall look and attention to detail has not been overlooked: we find a polished fuel tank cap, the silver ring logo from 1989, the ultra-polished fuel tank, and the leather seat treated with Pinstripe® Retro technology.
The headlight is a key element of the design and, in true classic style of the 450CL-C, we find a fully LED circular headlight unit. Behind this is an integrated and very appealing taillight.
The engine is the well-known – and tested – 450cc inline twin-cylinder with a 270° ignition timing, delivering a power of 40.8 hp at 8,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 42 Nm at 6,250 rpm. The six-speed gearbox uses a final drive – as is almost mandatory in the segment – with toothed belts.
CF MOTO states a weight of 181 kg ready to ride in the data sheet. The frame is steel, coupled with a 37mm USD fork, while at the rear there is a monoshock. The braking system consists of a single 320mm front disc with a radial-mounted four-piston caliper, while a single 220mm disc operates at the rear.
The CF MOTO 450CL-C features a set of LED headlights, a 3.6-inch circular TFT instrument panel, and Traction Control, with two colors available: Nebula Black and the appealing Ruby Red.
The price is still to be defined for a cruiser that will arrive in the course of 2024 and is accompanied by a – in our opinion – beautiful one-off, a special motorcycle manufactured by CFMOTO to express all the technical and stylistic potential of the cruiser/bobber theme around the 450cc two-cylinder engine.
