With about a month to go before the start of the World Superbike Championship season, Yamaha has presented its official teams: Pata Maxus Yamaha and GYTR GRT Yamaha.
The rider lineup remains unchanged compared to 2025. In the main team, six-time champion Jonathan Rea returns for another season, aiming for significantly better results after a challenging year. His teammate will be Andrea Locatelli, who claimed his first victory in 2024.
The GYTR GRT Yamaha team will also continue with the same rider duo for the third consecutive year: Dominique Aegerter and Remy Gardner. Both were consistent top-10 finishers last year, with the Australian even securing a podium finish.
It’s worth mentioning that these are Yamaha’s two directly supported teams, but there is also a customer team: Yamaha MotoXRacing. The rookie Bahattin Sofuoglu and Tito Rabat will be the riders for this team.
