Thus, in parallel with the 8th edition of the motorcycle tourism event organized by the Portuguese Motorcycling Federation, between October 1 and 4, the 5th Reflorestar Portugal de Lés-a-Lés Campaign will take place. An awareness campaign that will bring hundreds of trees to the children and young people of the municipalities crossed by this non-competitive tourist event, accompanied by an explanatory comic book about the advantages of native species.
Therefore, even before the start of the 8th Portugal de Lés-a-Lés Off-Road, on the afternoon of September 29, starting at 2:00 p.m., the Parque da Cidade de Penafiel will be the scene of great excitement, with the presence of about a hundred students from the 1st cycle of basic education. Accompanied by teachers and operational assistants, the kids will help plant 2 alders, 2 ash trees, and 6 strawberry trees, listening to a lively explanation about the advantages of native species. This experience will be repeated in the following days, during stops in Figueira da Foz, Estremoz, and Portimão, the arrival points of each of the three stages, covering around 300 kilometers.
Days full of discovery and entertainment, through some of the most beautiful off-road trails, among vineyards and olive groves, chestnut groves and oak forests, through mountains and valleys, with stops at unknown viewpoints to enjoy breathtaking landscapes. The route will also include some river crossings, in a challenge that, far from being a race, combines adventure and overcoming, camaraderie and fun, and is open to trail motorcycles of all brands and displacements, sizes and styles.
