Indian Motorcycle has two new limited-edition, exclusive bikes – the Challenger Elite and the Pursuit Elite. Each unit of each model is numbered.

The American manufacturer will release only 350 Challenger Elite and 250 Pursuit Elite units worldwide. Both feature premium details, including the decoration, components, and technology.

Indian Challenger Elite

The Challenger Elite is a bagger inspired by the legacy of Gene Walker, «Alabama Flash», who set a speed record in 1920 on the Indian PowerPlus and was considered at the time the fastest man alive. It has a three-tone paint job with premium Black Candy and Red Candy finishes on a glossy Crystal White Pearl Satin base. Glass particles have been added to the decoration to make it even more shiny. The Indian Motorcycle Headdress logo pattern is placed on top of a hand-painted fade.

There are also premium finishes in Dark Horse black. The bike features an adjustable Flare Windshield. The Challenger Elite has saddlebags with more than 68 liters of capacity and remote locking. The audio system consists of four 100-watt speakers.

Indian Pursuit Elite

As for the Indian Pursuit Elite, it is inspired by the 20,000 PowerPlus units produced for the United States Army in 1916. This touring bike also has a three-tone paint job: Black Candy and Black Forest Candy, as well as hand-painted Championship Gold details and premium Dark Horse black finishes. The engine cover and exclusive Elite badge give this special edition even more unique character.

The windshield is adjustable via a button on the handlebars, and it also features heated seats and grips, along with backlit switch blocks. The saddlebags with remote locking offer more than 140 liters of capacity. Six 100-watt speakers make up the sound system.

Common features

From a technical standpoint, both bikes are very similar. The engine is a V2 that delivers 126 hp and 181.4 Nm of torque, being the contemporary design of Indian’s already-famous PowerPlus engine.

There are three riding modes that allow customization of throttle response. For comfort, the Select Headdress foot platforms for both rider and passenger provide more space for placing the feet, in addition to contributing to the bike’s style. The rear suspension is electronically adjustable in shock preload as standard.

The wheels are five-spoked, with Metzeler Cruisetec tires, and the Pathfinder Adaptive LED headlamp and Driving Lights are part of the standard equipment. Keyless ignition, cruise control, and a USB charging port are also common, as well as the premium audio system.

In terms of riding assistance technology integrated into Rider Assist, there is immobilizer control, combined electronic braking system, blind spot warning, rear proximity warning, and rear collision warning.

Onboard, there is a 7-inch touch screen with Ride Command and an advanced information and entertainment system, allowing connections to mobile devices via Bluetooth. This enables access to GPS navigation, among other features. There is also the Bike Locator feature to locate the bike.
