Miguel Oliveira is one of the riders for Trackhouse Racing in their debut in MotoGP in 2024. He will be riding the latest version of the Aprilia RS-GP, so the ambitions are high… despite being cautious for the first steps.
The Portuguese rider spoke about his first impressions of the new team, emphasizing that he expects to have the equipment to fight for top positions: ‘It is certainly unique to have an American team in the field for the first time. In terms of marketing and image, everyone is very excited. As for me, technically I will have the new bike, which is good, and I will have a good opportunity to fight for top positions‘.
That being said, Oliveira admitted that the initial phase with the 2024 Aprilia RS-GP may have some challenges: ‘At the beginning, I don’t really believe it, because the new bike still has a lot of work to do and we need to have everything well developed, in all areas. And it’s not easy to set up a bike for the whole season. I think we will have some difficulties in the beginning, but I believe that when we start, it will be good‘.
