Miguel Oliveira placed his Aprilia RS-GP on the front row for the first time last weekend, after setting an incredible third fastest lap in Qualifying. In the Sprint Race, he managed to finish sixth, although he struggled a bit to maintain a stronger pace. Similarly, in the race on Sunday, he was able to overcome some issues and ultimately crossed the finish line in an excellent fifth place, giving the Portuguese rider and his CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP team a great boost of motivation for this weekend.
The weekend kicks off as usual with the first Free Practice at 10:45 local time on Friday, followed by the Qualifying session at 15:00 local time on the same day, which determines the entries for Qualifying one and two. The Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli will also host a one-day test on Monday after the race weekend, before the entire MotoGP paddock heads to the Far East.
“For Misano, we have a good motivation going into the race weekend. We know the challenge is different from Barcelona, since the Misano World Circuit is a completely different track, obviously. But I will go with an open mind and very confident.”
