Toprak Razgatlioglu is not at the World Superbike tests in Jerez with BMW, therefore missing the start of preparations with his future team in 2024. However, it was not due to lack of authorization from Yamaha, with whom he is under contract until the end of November.
Andrea Dosoli, Yamaha team director, explained quoted by the site GPOne.com that it was not possible to reach an agreement with the rider for the test:
– We all understand the advantages for a manufacturer and a rider to be able to do a test and we also understand what we are talking about, being able to do a test with Jonathan Rea calmly. We discussed with Toprak to find a solution, but unfortunately we could not reach an agreement. However, there was an attempt to bring him to the test. There was an opening under certain conditions.
