It is called X-Wedge and is a new Chinese brand that is entering the market. One of the many brands we have never heard of, but which represent solid realities, at least in Asia.
Established companies are always being added, and this X-Wedge represents something different. Let’s start by saying that it is part of the Huansong industrial group, based in Chongqing, and instead of targeting the market for medium and low-displacement motorcycles, it aims to enter the market for large-displacement cruisers.
The range will consist of five new models, evidently inspired by American V-Twins.
The engine, reportedly, is derived from the famous S&S, curiously also called X-Wedge, which has similar characteristics to the engines that equip the new models of the Chinese manufacturer.
The entry-level model is called Ranger RX2000 and is inspired by the most classic H-D models, equipped with fairing and a set of rear bags, it is designated RL200.
Of the five new entries, three are three-wheelers, the Voyager VS2000 is essentially a Ranger RX2000 with a sidecar (with both rear wheels driven), while the Vanguard VT2000 is a true tricycle.
Also with three wheels, but with an inverted arrangement, two in the front and one in the back, the Walker WR1000 is the only model that does not have the bicylinder engine from S&S. In fact, its engine is a 975 cc bicylinder with 81 hp of power and 80 Nm of torque, with CVT transmission.
We do not know if these models will be launched in other markets outside of China, but we doubt they will reach Europe.
