The Chinese motorcycle manufacturer Zeth’s is a new player in the world of two-wheelers. Founded in 2016, the brand focuses on the premium segment, with its models ranging from 250cc to 1,000cc motorcycles, consisting of cruisers, naked, and sport bikes. One of its latest models stands out among the identical Chinese motorcycles to some Japanese or European models, as it takes the form of a retro-inspired sport bike, fully equipped.
It’s called ZFR 525 R Avenger, a motorcycle that seems to be the ready-to-be-produced version of the ZFR 500 R concept we talked about in January. From a style standpoint, the Zeths ZFR 525 R takes the form of a sport bike inspired by the 80s. Abandoning the angular and aggressive style of current machines, the ZFR 525 R is equipped with a rounded fairing and twin headlights that give it a distinctly retro look. Underneath the retro fairing, the bike has a completely modern base consisting of an inverted front fork and a single-sided swingarm with a monoshock at the rear.
In terms of performance, the ZFR 525 R has a fairly common engine when it comes to Chinese motorcycles – the 494 cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine with fuel injection. Apparently, this engine can be found in motorcycles from other Chinese brands, particularly Loncin and its premium affiliate, Voge. In the case of the ZFR 525 R Avenger, the engine has been tuned to produce 48 hp – an ideal adjustment for A2 license criteria in Europe.Other features of the Zeths ZFR 525 R include an aluminum frame, as well as the aforementioned single-sided swingarm at the rear, giving the bike a very premium aesthetic. The bike has dual front disc brakes with four-piston radially mounted calipers and a single rear disc. ABS also comes as standard.
