Honda has been going through challenging times in MotoGP, being away from the titles it once dominated for nearly six years. Stefan Bradl remains a test rider this year, playing a crucial role in the development of the bike.
The German rider explained to the site Motosan.es that the hiring of Romano Albesiano as technical director reflects Honda’s ambition, highlighting the commitment within the manufacturer:
– My work hasn’t been very successful because I didn’t have too many things, but we are all paying close attention to what the new technical director can bring. It’s the first time Honda has given this role to a European, which is a clear message that they want to move forward. At the moment, they are working very hard at the factory to build the bikes, but it’s a process that takes time.
Bradl also noted that even during Marc Márquez’s title-winning era, the RC213V was not necessarily the best bike. He shared his thoughts on the way forward: ‘We have to stay calm, work as hard as we can, and bring the company back to the top. The motivation within the company is very high, but we need more direct communication. I think we can come back stronger’.
