For the 18th consecutive time, Toni Bou has been crowned the TrialGP World Champion. The rider secured the title this Sunday at the TrialGP of France in Cahors, with yet another victory in the penultimate round of the season.
The Repsol Honda Team rider started strong, leading the first lap with just six penalty points (plus one for time), compared to Adam Raga’s (Sherco) 16+1. This solid start put Bou on track for the win.
However, on the second lap, the best performance came from Jaime Busto (GasGas), who only incurred two penalty points, while Bou had 7+1. But Busto’s 20+1 points from the first lap meant he wasn’t in contention for the overall victory.
In the final standings, Bou accumulated just 15 penalty points, winning the event with an eight-point advantage over Busto. Gabriel Marcelli (Repsol Honda) completed the podium, finishing nine points behind the second-place rider, with Raga and Jorge Casales (TRRS) rounding out the top five.
