The MotoGP pre-season testing schedule for 2025 has been announced, featuring a significant new addition: the Buriram circuit in Thailand will host tests for the first time, a move that aligns with its role as the venue for the season’s opening round.
As is traditional, the first test will take place later this year, with a single day of testing at the Circuito Ricardo Tormo following the Valencia GP on November 19. After a well-deserved break in December and January, the shakedown test in Sepang, Malaysia, is scheduled from January 31 to February 2, specifically for rookies, test riders, and teams with concessions.
The first official test of the 2025 calendar year will also be in Sepang, from February 5 to 7, followed by the final preparations in Buriram, Thailand, on February 12 and 13.
According to a statement, the provisional calendar for the next season’s championship will be released in the coming weeks. What is already official is that the Thai GP will kick off the season, taking place from February 28 to March 2.
