Marc Márquez joins Ducati this year, and in the process, he has parted ways with one of his long-time main sponsors – Red Bull. This is due to the Italian team being sponsored by rival Monster Energy.
According to Crash.net, the decision was made out of respect for the Austrian brand, but it reportedly went even further. Motorsport.com states that Márquez was offered a Monster deal similar to that of his teammate Francesco Bagnaia.
However, the Spaniard allegedly declined the offer out of loyalty to Red Bull, seemingly leaving the door open for a possible future reunion. For this season, however, the Red Bull logos will be replaced by those of Estrella Galicia 0,0, which continues to support Márquez.
Interestingly, this week Ducati announced a new partnership with Eternoo, whose logo will appear on both riders’ bikes – but only Márquez will wear it on his racing suit.
