A crash just days before the Thailand GP resulted in fresh fractures for the Aprilia rider, particularly in his left hand and arm – including the scaphoid, which can be notoriously difficult to heal.
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Martín admitted that his recovery is taking longer than he would like. However, he emphasized that he will not rush the process and will only return when there are no risks involved:
– The recovery is going well, but slower than I would like. However, these are the timelines, and it would be a mistake to speed them up, we would risk making everything even longer. I plan to be in Qatar, but only if there are no risks. I will have a check-up after Austin.
