The Asian continent is the one with the highest number of motorcycles per square meter, with Vietnam, more specifically the city of Ho Chi Minh, standing out with 86% preference for motorcycles over cars. Hanoi and Jakarta also top the list in the Asian continent.
In the same southern continent, it was found that nine out of ten people use motorcycles daily, led successively by Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
The list continues with China, where 60% of the population owns a motorcycle, while India (47%) and Pakistan (43%) rank third and fourth, respectively.
Interestingly, even countries in this continent with lower percentages, such as the Philippines (32%) and Japan (21%), significantly exceed the motorcycle ownership rates of some developed countries in Europe and the Americas.
In the American continent, specifically in Latin America, Brazil leads with the highest number of motorcycles per inhabitant, with 29%, followed by Argentina (24%) and Colombia (23%).
The indicators place Bolivia (22%), Nicaragua (17%), and Venezuela (16%) next. The United States has only a 14% preference for riding motorcycles.
Regarding the European continent, the references show that the rate of motorcyclists is lower than in other continents, and the country leading the statistics is Italy (26%) due to its deep-rooted cultural passion, followed by Greece with 23%.
