The Aprilia Tuareg returned to rally action in the first round of the Italian Motorally Championship, and came out victorious with Jacopo Cerutti.
The rider, who earlier this year claimed his second win in the Africa Eco Race, competed in the G-1000 category. The reigning champion lived up to his status, dominating from start to finish on Saturday.
Conditions on Sunday were challenging due to poor visibility and a wet, slippery surface. The Italian even suffered a fall but recovered to secure the overall victory and the lead in the standings.
Francesco Montanari, in the same category, brought the Tuareg to seventh place on both days. Meanwhile, Marco Menichini, making his debut in the championship, finished fourth on Saturday and won on Sunday in the GPX class – where Paolo Pettinari placed fifth and sixth.
