Alessandro Zaccone recorded the fastest time in MotoE practice sessions for the Italian GP. The second session at Mugello saw all riders achieve their best times.
The initial leader was Mattia Casadei (LCR E-Team), who started with two quick laps. He was then overtaken by Héctor Garzó (Dynavolt Intact GP). The Spaniard’s time at the top was short-lived as Zaccone (Tech3 E-Racing) set the fastest time of the session: 1m55.958s.
Although Zaccone did not improve further, others came close by the end. Matteo Ferrari (Felo Gresini) finished second, 0.114s behind, followed by Nicholas Spinelli (Tech3 E-Racing). Eric Granado (LCR E-Team), who led the first practice session, was fourth, with Garzó finishing in fifth.
Others who secured direct advancement to the second qualifying session were Casadei, Kevin Zannoni (Openbank Aspar), and Alessio Finello (Felo Gresini). Miquel Pons (Axxis-MSi) narrowly missed direct qualification, placing ninth by just 0.003s, relegating him to Q1. Among those who will also need to pass through Q1 are Jordi Torres (Openbank Aspar) and Óscar Gutiérrez (Axxis-MSi).
