It is with excitment and a return to the roots that Pecco Bagnaia is looking at the new MotoGP season. Eager to start to work the former champion made sure to highlight that he grew as a rider last season, while also showing to be excited to work with his new teammate, in helping the bike getting even better.
The italian, former two time world champion in the category will return to his «regular» number in 2025: ‘It will be the fifth season with the Ducati Lenovo Team, we have shown that we are a close-knit working group. I will return to the track with the number 63 after a 2024 that did not give me the greatest joy, the title I mean, but was very hard-fought and I have achieved several records’.
Certain that he grew as a rider, the first impressions with the new bike were super good right away: ‘I have learned a lot, I tried to make the most of each situation and the sensations on the bike, in Barcelona in the first testing session after the GP, were immediately positive’.
Speaking of Marc Márquez, Bagnaia is sure that both can help Ducati make the next step forward: ‘I have a new teammate, a strong and competitive rider and, together, we can take the development of the bike to an even higher level. It will be demanding, I will try not to leave anything to chance and to face the season with the same spirit as always’.
