In the world of motorcycles, Kawasaki tends to be creative, often with an interesting effect. For example, at the Japan Mobility Show 2023. As we mentioned, Kawasaki was the only manufacturer that did not give a preview of what they would present. Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, and even Toyota (well, in the form of their hydrogen project HySE) all previewed motorcycles and/or related articles.
But the problem is the following. All the brands we mentioned planned to debut what were and are primarily conceptual or reference vehicles – not production vehicles. That’s where Kawasaki stood out.

We can’t say what the process was, but it seems that perhaps Kawasaki was planning to reveal actual production bikes instead of just concepts. The concepts are interesting, don’t get us wrong – but they may or may not become bikes we can buy, so they tend to hold a different place in the hearts of most enthusiasts. They show us what could be, rather than what is.
With all this in mind, Kawasaki unveiled its 2024 Ninja 40th Anniversary lineup at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show. This new and brilliant paint scheme was taken directly from the iconic Ninja ZX-7 Team Green race bike from the early 1990s. It features a winning combination of lime green, pearl crystal white, and blue, all arranged in different configurations to best suit each Ninja model that this special paint adorns.
You will find versions of the 40th Anniversary Edition of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR ABS 2024, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R ABS 2024, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R ABS 2024, and the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R ABS 2024.
Kawasaki didn’t just settle for a paint scheme appropriate to the era for the 40th Anniversary tributes of the Ninja, but also consulted their archives to find the original designs, in order to accurately reproduce the correct logos on these bikes. The early 90s were a long time ago, and like other manufacturers, Kawasaki’s logo has changed over time, so it was important for the brand to carefully look back in order to do justice to the designs.
Available alongside the colors already announced for the 2024 season, the 40th anniversary models will play an important role in the global celebration of a universally recognized and respected sports motorcycle brand.
