After a meeting with the organization and representatives of all classes of the National Motocross Championship, the decision was made to postpone the race scheduled for the weekend of March 30 and 31 in Casais de São Quintino, the traditional Easter Sunday round, which would have opened the championship after the cancellation of the Lustosa race for the same reasons. The new date has been set for May 11 and 12.
The track conditions after the rain of the last days – especially yesterday, Wednesday – and the weather forecasts for the next days, led to a joint and unanimous decision among the FMP Motocross Commission, riders and organization, as there are no conditions for the recovery of the circuit or for the event to take place respecting the minimum safety standards for the riders. We appreciate the collaboration of all those involved, especially the PentaControl Regional Championship and the organization of the round of this competition in Tarouca for the concession of the date. With this change, the championship will start on April 14 in Granho, according to the calendar below.
