CFMOTO can now be considered an established motorcycle manufacturer on the European market. The partnership with KTM is growing, the models are well received and the sporting activities are also going well. The Chinese manufacturer now wants to go further and shake up the European electronics market with the ZEEHO brand, founded in 2020. Are the products as premium as the manufacturer promises?
ZEEHO C!TY SPORT – the new electric scooter
The City Sport is the entry into the new brand. With a rated power of 1.8 kW and a maximum power of 3.5 kW, it is at home in the AM class – that is, the class for mopeds up to a top speed of 45 km/h. The low weight corresponds to this: this electric moped weighs just 80 kg. There are two driving modes to choose from when driving: ECO and SPORT. The modes differ in terms of responsive behavior and power delivery, which in turn affects range. Speaking of which, the City Sport has a removable battery, which offers a range of 80 kilometers. Thanks to its 700 W charger, the battery charges from 0 to 80% in less than three hours.
Prices are also already known. In Austria, the C!TY SPORT costs 3,499 euros, in Germany 2,990 euros and in Switzerland 2,990 francs. The prices do not include any discounts.
ZEEHO AE6+ – the A1 compact scooter
The AE6+ is the little sister of the Zeeho A1 scooters. Its compact dimensions and weight of just 96 kilograms are just two examples of this. Despite this, this small electric scooter can travel up to 100 kilometers – if it is equipped with two batteries. However, only one battery is used at a time. When the first one runs out, it is replaced under the seat. But regardless of whether one or two batteries are used, the 1.9 kWh batteries can be removed for easy charging at home. A battery should take just over two hours to charge from 20 to 80 % of its capacity. Zeeho specifies the AE6+ with a maximum power of 5.5 kW. However, this is only released when you skip the ECO and Street driving modes and go straight to SPORT.
ZEEHO’s need to communicate may take some getting used to, but it’s delightful. Whether it’s a turn signal, a mode change or the activation of cruise control, the Chinese manufacturer’s vehicles emit a sound. With its easy handling and compact dimensions, the AE6+ is particularly suitable for inexperienced motorcyclists or those who want to become one.
Prices have not yet been announced.
ZEEHO AE8 S+ – the top model
The AE8 S+ is currently a premium model from Zeeho. This can be seen by the fact that two batteries are fitted as standard. As with its little sister, each has a capacity of 1.9 kWh and can be charged to 80% in around five hours. The maximum output is 12.5 kW – significantly higher than the smaller model, which is also due to the fact that both batteries are always connected. The AE8 S+ also features Brembo brake calipers and ABS front and rear, supplied by Bosch.
If you already ride a motorcycle and are looking for an electric extension for your garage, you should choose the AE8 S+ from the ZEEHO range. It wins points with a high-quality 5-inch TFT screen and a design that goes straight into the cyberpunk mold. On the road, however, it surprises with impressive performance figures that seem to be from a higher license category. The extra power also results in a top speed of just over 100 km/h – so it won’t be an obstacle in traffic on cross-country journeys. In combination with the powerful Brembo brakes and good stability, the AE8 S+ almost exudes a touch of sportiness. However, as with its little sister, this scooter’s storage compartment is also relatively small – unfortunately, a sports helmet is not an option under the seat due to the batteries.
Prices: The scooter costs €5,699 in Austria, €4,990 in Germany and CHF 4,990 in Switzerland. The prices do not include any discounts.
