Yamaha has unveiled the new generation of its iconic XMAX urban scooters for 2025, featuring a technological revolution in the 125 and 300 models.
The new XMAX 300, specially designed for users with an A2 license, stands out for its optimized power of 27.6 horsepower, while the 125 version, accessible to riders with an A1 license, offers 12.1 horsepower. Both models now feature engines that comply with the strict Euro5+ standard, demonstrating the brand’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
The top-of-the-line range, consisting of the Tech Max and Tech Max + models, raises the bar in the premium scooter segment. The new electric windscreen, adjustable by 95 millimetres via an intuitive control on the left handle, revolutionizes riding comfort. This innovation is complemented by redesigned side deflectors and a new front fairing that optimize aerodynamic protection.
In the field of connectivity, the new XMAX stands out for its new dual instrument panel, which combines a 4.2-inch TFT color screen with an LCD display. This configuration allows full integration with smartphones, providing notifications of calls, messages and emails. The partnership with Garmin takes the experience even further, offering real-time navigation and up-to-date traffic information.
In practical terms, Yamaha has retained and improved features appreciated by users, such as the under-seat compartment with capacity for two helmets and the USB-C socket in the front compartment. Full-LED lighting and a keyless ignition system complete the technological package.
The XMAX’s heritage in Europe is remarkable, with more than 166,000 units sold since its launch in 2004. Its success has spread to Asia, where, since 2017, it has already exceeded 248,000 units sold, confirming the global appeal of this urban scooter.
