Yamaha Motor announced the launch of its 2025 mid-displacement naked motorcycles, the “MT-03” and “MT-25”, scheduled for Thursday, April 24. The new versions include assisted and slipper clutch, smartphone connectivity, and a new seat that improves foot accessibility to the ground, making them more comfortable and practical for users.
Small Improvements, Big Impact
Since its launch in 2016, the MT-03 has stood out as a versatile option for two-wheel enthusiasts, sharing fundamental components with the YZF-R3 sportbike, including a 320cc liquid-cooled parallel twin-cylinder engine. Its identity is marked by the raised handlebar, giving it a streetfighter style distinct from the YZF-R3. Together with the 250cc MT-25, these models fall under the medium-displacement motorcycle license category of the MT series.
The 2020 redesign brought a more modern design, with LED lighting and inverted front suspension, as well as the option of a quick shifter. Now, in 2025, despite not presenting significant visual changes, the MT-03 incorporates a new assisted and slipper clutch, which improves the smoothness and lightness of clutch operation. Additionally, the seat and rear section have been redesigned for greater comfort and ease of riding, both for the rider and passenger.

Technology and Enhanced Features
One of the most relevant novelties is the new LCD instrument panel, now compatible with the “YAMAHA Motorcycle Connect (Y-Connect)” application, allowing interconnection with smartphones. For greater convenience, a Type-A USB connector for mobile device charging has also been added.
Yamaha also introduced three new colors for the MT-03 and MT-25 models: “Matte Light Gray Metallic 4”, “Deep Purplish Blue Metallic C”, and “Matte Dark Gray Metallic 8”.
Both models will be available from Thursday, April 24. The quality-price ratio makes these models particularly attractive for beginner motorcyclists and users seeking an accessible but well-equipped model. Yamaha anticipates an annual production of 1,800 units for both versions.
