Pol Espargaró spoke about Jorge Martín performance at the last Le Mans GP and added that there was a chance of putting Jorge Martín and Marc Márquez in the Ducati Lenovo Team.
Speaking to DAZN, he addressed these two issues and praised Martín’s only shortcoming last year, consistency.
– There’s the question of contracts, but what about Marc Márquez and Jorge Martín in the factory Ducati team? That wouldn’t be so bad either. The truth is that Pecco described it very well. Pecco is a rider who, as well as being as talented as he is, is obviously more diesel. We always have to trust that Pecco will be there.
He added of Martín: ‘But what Jorge Martín lacked last year, which was consistency, especially on Sundays, he’s managing to have. It’s the one thing he lacked, the one thing we asked of him last year in the long races on Sunday, to be there, just as he was doing in the Sprint race on Saturday. He’s doing it. He’s unbeatable. Not just here, but he’s been doing it for part of last year, since the start of this season, despite the crash at Jerez, and he’s unbeatable.’
