After achieving two points finishes for the first time since joining Monster Energy Yamaha, Álex Rins arrives at his home round in MotoGP – the Catalan GP in Barcelona.
With great enthusiasm, the rider faces the upcoming weekend. In a statement, Rins also highlighted the fact that he has a new aerodynamic package that he likes on the YZR-M1:
– This is the first Monster Energy GP of the season and it’s also my home GP, so for sure that adds a bit of extra excitement. We have been working hard trying to make the most of the extra track time the private Mugello test gave us. This weekend we will have a new aeropackage available to us, the version I liked. So, all in all, I am just really looking forward to start riding in Montmeló.
Currently, Rins is in 20th place in the championship with seven points. The 13th places in Portugal and Jerez were his best results in the first five rounds of the year, while he finished 15th in the last race.
