Brad Binder finished a disappointing 19th in the MotoGP Emilia Romagna GP after crashing on the second lap while running in the top five. This result was far below the fourth place he achieved at Misano two weeks earlier.
Nevertheless, the Red Bull KTM rider believes there were improvements in performance. After Sunday’s race, Binder spoke about progress on several fronts:
– I think we made a step compared to the last Misano. Clearly laptime-wise and especially on pace and rhythm, we made a positive step forward, so that’s good. But for sure it’s still a long way to go.
In the Sprint race, the South African rider finished fifth, ensuring he didn’t leave Misano without points. However, it was the second time this season that he missed out on points in a main race, following a DNF at Silverstone.
