This week, Fermín Aldeguer was announced as a Gresini Racing rider for MotoGP starting in 2025, with a direct contract with Ducati. He will take the place left by Marc Márquez, who is moving to the factory team.
Michele Masini, Gresini’s team manager, expressed his satisfaction not only with the arrival of the Spanish rookie but also with the continuation of the important partnership with Ducati:
– I’m really happy to have such a young talent like Fermín. Of course we are happy to continue together with Ducati, because I think our team is the place where we grow the talent: we already passed to the factory Enea [Bastianini], Marc next year. We work together and it’s a great collaboration.
Regarding Aldeguer, the Italian emphasized that there is no pressure to meet deadlines for his development: ‘I can’t wait to take our step with Fermín, step-by-step. We have two years to grow up, so we have all the time’.
