Last Tuesday, Barcelona hosted the first official test for the 2025 MotoGP season, a day filled with novelties at the Catalan circuit.
Three rookies made their debut on premier class bikes (Ai Ogura, Fermín Aldeguer, and Somkiat Chantra), while nine riders took to the track with their new teams for the first time. Among them were Marc Márquez, now a factory Ducati rider.
The fastest rider of the day was Álex Márquez (Gresini/Ducati), clocking a lap time of 1m38.803s, outpacing Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha) by 0.396s.
The session saw a red flag due to a crash by Enea Bastianini (Red Bull KTM Tech3). The most kilometers completed came from Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia), who put in 84 laps.
