The first lap of the MotoGP Indonesian GP was marked by an accident that immediately took out four riders, creating a chaotic scene in Mandalika.
Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM) crashed in the middle of the pack, and in the process, «swept away» Álex Márquez (Gresini Racing/Ducati), with no chance to avoid the collision.
Also caught up nearby were Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia) and Luca Marini (Repsol Honda), who were dragged into the accident with no time to react. Joan Mir (Repsol Honda) lost significant time but managed to steer clear by using the runoff area.
As a result, four riders were forced to retire from the Indonesian GP right on the first lap. You can watch or rewatch the incident here.
