Today’s MotoGP bikes are faster than ever, as demonstrated by their top speeds and record laps set on many circuits throughout last year’s calendar. Valentino Rossi, however, believes that caution must be exercised regarding risk levels.
Il Dottore told FAZ, as quoted in Motosan.es, that the level of bikes in the premier class has grown significantly: ‘There has been a lot of evolution in recent years. Ducati has raised the level significantly. The bikes are really fast’.
While MotoGP continues to be at the forefront of technology, technique, and speed, the increased performance of the bikes has significant drawbacks, as emphasized by Rossi: ‘Motorcycling is always dangerous. MotoGP has to think carefully about where they want to go. You can’t exaggerate’.
