For Trackhouse Racing, the American MotoGP team, the arrival in Qatar for the first round of the 2024 MotoGP World Championship is a significant milestone in the team’s short history. After a hectic three-month period since the announcement of its entry, the Trackhouse team has been on a constant series of commitments to be prepared for testing and now for the opening race.
The first round is a night race under the lights in Qatar and, after a positive conclusion to the test at the Losail circuit two weeks ago, anticipation is high for the team’s first race. The weather conditions are expected to be slightly warmer during race week than at the test and, since the last time the teams were present at the Losail circuit, a number of World Endurance Championship sports cars have covered thousands of kilometers, meaning that grip levels are likely to be different.
There’s plenty to be excited about when Miguel Oliveira, in his RS-GP 24, and Raul Fernandez, in his RS-GP 23, take to the track for the first session of the race weekend on Friday, March 8.
