Toprak Razgatlioglu will not be leaving the World Superbike Championship (WSBK) or ROKiT BMW in 2025. Weeks after revealing that the team had been informed of the rider’s desire to move to MotoGP, his manager, Kenan Sofuoglu, confirmed that Razgatlioglu’s immediate future remains in the current championship.
There have been numerous rumors surrounding Razgatlioglu (#54), with his name being linked to various teams in the premier class. Sofuoglu acknowledged that factory teams had shown interest in Razgatlioglu for the upcoming year.
However, the manager and former rider assured SPEEDWEEK.com that plans have already been laid out for WSBK in 2025: ‘We have already made several plans for 2025 and are building everything around Toprak to ensure he is happy. It wouldn’t be good to abandon that. That’s why Toprak and I decided that he will stay 100% in the World Superbike Championship next season – that’s clear now. We are very happy to continue this cooperation’.
Despite Razgatlioglu’s aspiration to move to MotoGP, Sofuoglu emphasized that it won’t be possible in 2025 and that they aim to end their relationship with BMW on good terms: ‘Of course, Toprak wants to go to MotoGP, but that won’t be possible before 2026. We have never ended a relationship with a manufacturer on bad terms. We have a story with Kawasaki and it ended well. The same goes for Yamaha. And it will be the same with BMW. There is interest from MotoGP teams in Toprak for 2026, but let’s see how things go this season and next, then we will talk about the future. Until then, we will continue our path with BMW’.
