Toprak Razgatlioglu is a highly technical rider and in his very first season with BMW in the World Superbike Championship surprised by “anticipating” the title, which was the goal for the second season, and Kenan Sofuoglu, his agent, no longer even “advises” the rider in some aspects.
It was Sofuoglu himself who admitted this, as Razgatlioglu’s agent and advisor who has been an important piece in the number 54’s career, in words to GPOne: ‘Toprak is a professional rider and nowadays I don’t even advise him what he has to do on track, because he already knows’.
Sofuoglu then recalled how sometimes he didn’t even need to talk about some aspects of the race with the (now) two-time WSBK world champion, as he is fully focused, prepared, and aware of his tasks: ‘I wanted to give him some advice before the start of Race 1, but in the end I realized it wasn’t necessary because he knew what he had to do’.
MotoGP remains a goal for Razgatlioglu, with 2027 being seen by many as BMW’s entry year into the category, although more news on the subject still lacks information.
