The former rider told SPEEDWEEK.com: ‘Regarding the future, nothing is clear. It seems that Toprak has two options in MotoGP. However, right now, we are more focused on winning the second title with BMW’.
Still, the future remains a topic of discussion, and at this moment, Sofuoglu sees the decision as evenly split: ‘Of course, soon my job will be to determine where Toprak’s future lies. Right now, I see the chances as 50/50 between MotoGP and Superbike’.
On previous occasions, both Sofuoglu and Razgatlioglu have made it clear that they would only consider a factory team in MotoGP, ruling out a satellite team regardless of the level of support. At this point, there is only one available factory seat: at Honda HRC Castrol, where Luca Marini’s contract is set to expire.
