Jorge Martin was overjoyed with his victory this sunday in Buriram and was modest at the end, admitting that, for him, he was no better than his closest rivals: Brad Binder and Francesco Bagnaia.
The Pramac Racing rider reacted like this into the MotoGP microphone after the race: ‘I’m very happy. This feeling is fantastic because today I wasn’t better than them: I had the same tools, the same tyres and I didn’t even have better pace than them. I had to push at more than 100 per cent on the last lap to stay in front, and even overtake Brad, Pecco, and push on the last lap as if it were qualifying. The pace was good, the [tyre] management was good’.
And he left a brief thank you, and a message even to himself: ‘Thank you very much to all the people who support me. I know there are moments that are tough, and those moments make you stronger’.
