Tito Rabat personally experienced the nefarious effects of storm Dana in Valencia, having to spend the night in his car after getting stuck on a highway.
The rider, who competed in the World Superbike Championship this year, reported the incident on social media. The effects of the bad weather forced Rabat, along with many other motorists, to spend the night in their vehicles on the A3 highway.
Traffic was immobilized, with vehicles trapped on the road due to the damage caused further ahead by heavy rains and flooding. Several people found themselves in the same situation as Rabat, including around 100 people who spent the night in safe areas of the Circuito Ricardo Tormo.
In his social media post, the Spaniard wrote: ‘Waking up on the A3 after being stuck due to the rain. Sending strength to everyone affected’.
