Ducati dominated the 2023 MotoGP season on all levels, as demonstrated by the final championship standings where the top three riders were aboard Ducati bikes. Johann Zarco represented Pramac Racing and is well acquainted with the Desmosedici GP23.
Still, the French rider couldn’t provide an answer when asked about what could be improved on the bike: ‘I don’t know, I think Gigi [Dall’Igna] knows better than me where to improve the bike’.
On the other hand, Zarco highlighted a particularly important achievement of Ducati: ‘What Ducati has been incredible in was to make all the bikes win, and I think this is the most incredible – give the opportunity to win races and fight for podiums to each rider. Everyone felt good in the bike and this is where they’ve been fantastic’.
That said, #5 believes that the other manufacturers don’t need radical changes to challenge Ducati: ‘There is a big difference, but when you analyze everything very well, the difference is not so big. This is what gives a lot of hopes for the others. It will be one change or few changes that will bring the other bikes to the top’.
