The full lineup for the 2025 MotoGP season is almost complete. With the announcement of Miguel Oliveira joining Prima Pramac Racing, only one seat remains unfilled.
It is precisely Oliveira’s teammate that is the last unknown rider. Jack Miller has been heavily tipped as the strongest candidate for the other seat at Prima Pramac, Yamaha’s new satellite team, but nothing has been officially confirmed so far.
Next season features many changes: Monster Energy Yamaha (Álex Rins/Fabio Quartararo) and Repsol Honda (Joan Mir/Luca Marini) are the only teams that have retained their rider pairings.
All other teams will see at least one new rider, with two teams completely changing their lineups: Aprilia (Jorge Martín/Marco Bezzecchi) and Red Bull KTM Tech3 (Enea Bastianini/Maverick Viñales).
There will be at least three rookies: Ai Ogura, who will take over Oliveira’s seat at Trackhouse; Fermín Aldeguer, replacing Marc Márquez at Gresini; and Somkiat Chantra, succeeding Takaaki Nakagami at LCR Honda.
Confirmed departures include Aleix Espargaró, who is retiring from full-time racing and will become a Honda test rider, and Takaaki Nakagami, who will transition to a development role with Honda. Between Augusto Fernández and Miller, at least one of them won’t have a bike for 2025, with signs pointing that the Spaniard is likely to be the one to leave.
