After completing his first two MotoGP seasons in satellite teams, Enea Bastianini made the leap to Ducati in 2023. Injuries prevented him from reaching his full potential throughout the year, but he was able to adapt to a very different reality from what he was used to.
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, the winner of the Malaysian GP admitted that the level of difficulty in a factory team is higher… although the work wasn’t radically different:
– In the factory team, everything is more challenging because you have to relate to many more people. However, this is something I quickly got used to. What I adapted to less often hurt me! Speaking of the work, I would say that the work I did within the factory team was very similar to what I did at Gresini. Similar, but… everything is a bit more complex.
