Ducati is the current benchmark manufacturer in MotoGP, having clearly dominated the recent seasons. However, the successes began much earlier. There are already 87 race wins and 12 world titles.
In its debut season, the Borgo Panigale manufacturer achieved nine podiums, including one win, but had to wait until 2007 for the first title, secured by Casey Stoner. The Desmosedici GP was far from being a dominating bike at the time, and after the Australian’s achievement, Ducati only celebrated another title in 2020, marking the first of four consecutive constructor titles until 2023.
In terms of teams, Ducati only became champions again in 2021 and 2022. The years 2007 and 2022 were the only ones when Ducati won all possible titles (riders, teams and constructors). The manufacturer achieved a total of 12 titles among riders, constructors, and teams, including Prima Pramac’s title in 2013.
Regarding victories, the Italian house has already secured 87: 73 with the factory team and 14 with satellite teams (Pramac, 6; Gresini, 5; VR46 Racing, 3). In 2017, Ducati achieved the most wins in a single year with its factory team (11), reaching eight in both 2022 and 2023. The record for the number of podiums was in 2022 with 17. On the contrary, Ducati was absent from the top three for only one season: 2013, before the turning point with the arrival of General Manager Gigi Dall’Igna.
