The 2024 MotoGP season has not yet begun, but Michelin is working on the long term and already testing for the next year. The director of the motorcycle racing division at the supplier, Piero Taramasso, spoke about it to the press.
The Frenchman began by saying: ‘On the front we also proposed the 2025 specification. We had less riders testing it – five/six results. Some are encouraging, some we need to check the data more in detail when we go back’.
After a productive test in Sepang, Michelin will now prepare for Qatar: ‘Now we have to prepare Qatar. We will have the standard allocation, again the new compound technology for the front and the rear. We will test again this hard plus and we have another new compound to test, but this new compound will be for 2025’, said Taramasso.
