Yamaha has earned a reputation for producing bikes that are more rider-friendly and comfortable. This is something Miguel Oliveira experienced firsthand during Tuesday’s testing session in Barcelona.
The Portuguese rider found the YZR-M1 to be a bike that is ‘very rider-friendly’ and offers ‘a good feedback’. However, the #88 emphasized that comfort and speed are not necessarily synonymous:
– I tell you, the most comfortable bike is not the fastest bike, so we’re not looking for comfort or having a bike that is friendly to the rider, but rather a bike that is fast. And I think we are going to get an opportunity to work on that, for sure.
MotoGP will return to the track for the Sepang shakedown from January 31 to February 2, followed by the official test at the same circuit from February 5 to 7. Another two days of testing are scheduled for February 12 and 13 in Buriram.
