It was another difficult season for Monster Energy Yamaha in MotoGP. Fabio Quartararo, who won the title in 2021, is aware that more challenges will emerge next year, as the Japanese manufacturer is behind the rivals.
The Frenchman confessed quoted by Motosan.es: ‘Already in 2021, the year I won the title, it was clear that Yamaha was worse than Ducati, not on the same level. But at that time, despite the weaknesses, there were also positive points. In 2022, even though I didn’t win the title, I believe it was my best season because the bike was much inferior. Now the disadvantage compared to the others is too big and prevents me from making a difference. In 2024, it will be a big challenge for Yamaha’.
Next season, the rider-line up for Yamaha will be Quartararo and Álex Rins – coming from LCR Honda. Franco Morbidelli, on the other hand, will embrace a new chapter in his career riding for Prima Pramac.
