Aleix Espargaró has been with Aprilia since 2017, witnessing the gradual growth of the manufacturer from Noale. From the years with Gresini to the creation of the 100 percent factory team, from the struggles to move up from the back of the grid to fighting for victories, the journey has been long.
In an interview with DAZN, the Spaniard spoke about his relationship with Aprilia and the RS-GP, admitting that it is a very different bike from last year’s and that he needs to feel it as part of himself:
– In the end, the Aprilia is like my daughter, it’s a part of my body, and the truth is that the bike has evolved significantly in terms of aerodynamics, but the chassis, engine, and lean angle are very similar. I’m not a rider who stops the bike abruptly and likes to brake hard, quite the opposite.
