Stark Future has unveiled the Stark VARG EX, an electric motorcycle set to transform the world of Enduro. Three years after the success of the Stark VARG MX, the company takes a bold step forward by introducing its first road-legal motorcycle.
Power, Sustainability, and Versatility
With an impressive 80hp electric motor, the Stark VARG EX is the most powerful Enduro bike on the market. Riders can customize its performance thanks to five adjustable modes directly accessible from the handlebars, allowing them to configure power delivery, engine braking, and regenerative curves. This versatility enables the bike to behave like a nimble 125cc two-stroke or deliver the brute force of a 450cc four-stroke.
The motorcycle is equipped with a 7.2 kWh magnesium honeycomb battery, which doubles as a structural component to ensure lightness and optimized weight distribution. This battery offers 20% more range compared to the MX model and can be fully charged in just two hours.
A Road-Legal Model
The Stark VARG EX goes beyond Enduro tracks, being fully homologated for road use in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and parts of the United States. In Southern Europe, for instance, the bike can be ridden with an A1 license or even a standard car driver’s license.
Key road-ready features include:
- Flexible turn signals made from durable optical silicone, patented for enhanced longevity.
- A 4,000-lumen headlamp, three times brighter than its competitors, perfect for night riding.
- An integrated license plate holder that combines durability with sleek design.
Precision Engineering and High-Quality Materials
The VARG EX’s chassis is built with high-strength steel, ensuring ideal flexibility for better cornering control. The carbon fiber subframe, which doubles as a cooling system for the motor, and the KYB-tuned suspension deliver superior performance both on traditional trails and in extreme conditions.
Key technical highlights include:
- A skid plate reinforced with impact-absorbing foam.
- A chain guide with 266% increased lateral stiffness for maximum reliability.
- KYB closed-cartridge suspension with 300mm of travel, optimized for Enduro.
- Customizable wheels, compatible with tube, tubeless, or mousse tire setups.
Cutting-Edge Technology for the Rider
One of the most innovative features of the Stark VARG EX is the Stark Arkenstone, a military-grade Android device integrated into the motorcycle, offering:
- GPS and navigation developed with a leading map provider.
- Real-time adjustments to power delivery, regeneration, and engine braking.
- Trail sharing with other riders in the community.
Additionally, the redesigned handlebar-mounted mode selector is waterproof and impact-resistant, with internally routed cables for added durability.
Sustainability and Reduced Costs
Committed to sustainability, Stark Future has eliminated traditional components such as pistons and clutches, significantly reducing maintenance costs to levels comparable to a mountain bike. Noise-free, emission-free, and eco-friendly, the VARG EX provides an exhilarating ride with minimal environmental impact.
Pricing and Availability
The Stark VARG EX will be available in two versions:
