What a Sprint race today, whetting the appetite for what could happen tomorrow at Phillip Island, with Marc Márquez giving excellent indications and raising expectations for this Sunday.
The Spaniard admitted the initial mistake that made him lose many positions and explained what happened: ‘It seems that something always happens when I start from the front row. I made a mistake at turn 1, Jorge [Martín] braked very hard to turn off the front device, very aggressive, and then I didn’t calculate it well and almost touched him, I grabbed the bike but with the wind and everything else I went wide’.
However, the indications were good and the Gresini Racing rider is excited to race tomorrow, preferably without mistakes to fight with today’s winner:
– But the pace was there and we’ll see if tomorrow we can avoid the mistake of that first corner but from the bike’s point of view, the feelings were good, and the pace was also very similar to Jorge’s. Let’s see if tomorrow we can fight with him.
