Toprak Razgatlioglu may have dominated the 2024 World Superbike Championship in overwhelming fashion, but Scott Redding is highly confident for this year – believing he can outperform the Turkish rider.
The British rider from MGM Bonovo will have a Ducati at his disposal, and he told GPOne.com that it’s realistic to beat Razgatlioglu and BMW: ‘I think I can beat them with my bike. It’s not impossible. I studied every race and I know where Toprak was strong’.
That said, Redding acknowledges that some work is needed to compete with the 2024 champion: ‘He is the champion and has advantages in some areas that we need to study and adapt to, because if we don’t adapt, he will win. But if we do, we can also win’.
Redding has the experience of two years on BMW bikes, although he was never in a position to beat Razgatlioglu in 2024. He also spent two seasons with Ducati machines, finishing in the top three of the championship in both.
