As we previously reported, Franco Morbidelli had a scary crash yesterday on the second day of the Superbike World Championship tests in Portimão – where he was training with a production bike before the MotoGP tests in Sepang.
His team Prima Pramac Racing clarified that the Italian had to be taken to a hospital for further examinations. There is no indication of any concerning injuries, but nonetheless, Morbidelli had to spend the night at Faro hospital ‘as a precaution and for safety reasons’.
As of now, there is no information on whether the 2020 vice-champion has been discharged.
