This weekend Miguel Oliveira faces his home round, which is the Portuguese GP. The rider won in Portimão when MotoGP was there for the first time in 2020, but he does not expect to be able to fight for that result again this year.
Oliveira also said: ‘It is true that riding a bike is about feeling, and when you feel good, when you feel comfortable, everything happens without too much effort and of course it is possible to do it with any bike. It’s not just this year that everything clicked without too many problems or having to work too hard with the bike. But every year we come here and we are riding faster and faster, so we need to keep up. Last year, even though it was my first race with Aprilia, we tested before and that was a huge advantage for me, and the fact that I was fast gave me good indications. Let’s see this season, I come here with an open mind, I know we can do well, so we just need to perform at the right moment‘.
